WOCS 3, which takes place at Clube Oásis, on March 19th, announces another fight to shake up Barra da Tijuca (RJ). The organization features an international fight between Japanese Tateki Matsuda and jiu-jitsu black belt Álvaro Bobadilla.
In Brazil to improve his techniques, Matsuda has the support of Gustavo Ximu for the challenge.
“He is a student of Daniel Gracie and came to train at Gracie Barra. He has a blue belt in jiu-jitsu and this will be his MMA debut, but he already has a lot of muay thai fights. I've been giving him strength, taking him to training. He’s a very dedicated fighter and he won’t sit around,” said Ximu.
Representing Brazil, Bobadilla will make his professional debut. In amateur MMA, the fighter already has two victories.
“I am prepared and training hard. In the amateurs I did well and I'm confident. In my weight category, the Japanese are always dangerous and, because it's an international fight, a victory could open doors. I have a good ground game, improving my striking on Top Brother and very confident”, he said.
WOCS 3 features a total of four amateur fights and eight professional fights, with one super fight. Check out the current card (subject to modifications):
