After the Natural Submission Fight, on the 14th, the city of Ubatuba, on the coast of São Paulo, hosted the Conde Koma Jiu-Jitsu Cup. Once again the Marina School gymnasium hosted great fights and many were the highlights.
In the black belt absolute, who came out on top was Patrick Bispo (Fabio Cunha), who received a kimono from sponsor Podium for his victory. Alan Salgado (Atos), champion of the brown absolute, and Jéferson Viana (Liga JJ) and Vinicius Ladeira (Liga), champions of the purple and blue absolute, respectively, also received the award.
President of the CBJJE, the entity that approved the competition, Moises Muradi approved what he saw.
“There were 480 participants and, despite it being just the beginning of the season, it exceeded expectations. The athletes showed a high level, showing that 2009 will be a year of fierce competitions. Another cool thing was the coverage from a Japanese TV station, which came to Brazil to do stories about the master Conde Koma”, he said.
On March 8th, the CBJJE will hold the National Natural submission Fight, in São Paulo.
