Last Saturday (14), the “California Kid” resoundingly beat the promising Michael McDonald, 12 years younger, after submitting him in the second round of the UFC on Fox 9 co-main event. “I have to be the best fighter I've ever been, unless my confidence is shaken. I have a healthy lifestyle and I have been very lucky. I feel like I’m at 100% [of my conditions],” he commented. “Now, skills are increasing because I continue to learn, with an open mind. That’s what I’ll do until the moment I stop competing.”

However, Faber does not believe he will continue competing for many years. “I'm completely sure I could fight competitively in my 40s, but I don't want to do that. That’s a certainty,” he stated.
