WOCS Champion, Gogó attributes achievement to sacrifices during preparation

Team Nogueira fighter spoke about the conversation he had with his wife before the fight against Armando Sapinho

Gogó WOCS 32 championArthur Gogó ended 2013 in style. The light heavyweight won the WOCS title by beating Armando Sapinho by unanimous decision. This Monday (16), the fighter was at the Nogueira brothers' CT to watch his teammates training and carry out a physiotherapy session.

Satisfied with last Friday's achievement (13), Gogó made it clear that the sacrifice made during his preparation camp was fundamental to his success in combat.

“I'm very happy, this result was the result of all my training. I had to give up a lot of things to achieve this victory, thank God everything worked out. I'm glad everything worked out and now my wife and daughter are at home happy as hell,” he said, between laughs, remembering the conversation he had with his wife to focus solely on the fight.

When remembering the confrontation that gave him his greatest achievement in MMA, the athlete, who has a record of 21 wins and eight losses, explained that it was necessary to use patience to emerge victorious from the cage.

“I think in the third round when I fell on top, people didn't really understand why I didn't get up and exchange with him, but there I had to use strategy. In my opinion, it was at that moment that I won this fight”, he added.
