Independence Day: José Aldo, Cris Cyborg and other athletes demonstrate on September 7th

With the celebration of 200 years of Brazilian independence, personalities from the world of MMA publish photos with shirts and flags of the country

This Tuesday, September 7th, the 'Independence Day' from Brazil. And, as a result, MMA fighters and personalities have been using social media to speak out on the issue, as well as publishing photos with the Brazilian flag.

Chris Cyborg She was one of the first to appear talking about the topic. Wearing the team's shirt, she appeared making a 'gesture of strength', while also placing the National Anthem in her image. Just like the Bellator featherweight champion (Up to 65,7kg.), José Aldo he also appeared in stories wearing 'shirt 5', while attending another family party.

Patricky Pitbull

Patricky Freire innovated at the celebration. Known as 'Pitbull', just like his brother, Patrício, the Bellator lightweight champion (up to 70,3kg) featured an image of a dog and, in the shape, a Brazilian flag. He was also another athlete who played the anthem in the background.

Ketlen Scallop, in turn, sent a 'message of faith' about the future of the nation. The UFC fighter hopes for the evolution of the Brazilian people, with the aim of seeing an increasingly better country.

“Today marks 200 years since we gained our independence, and every day we can evolve into a better country. Beloved homeland, Brazil!”, wrote the athlete.

Top-10 in the middleweight category (up to 83,9kg.), André Sergipano revealed pride in representing his country's flag in world MMA. He also congratulated the Brazilian people on another year of independence.

“September 7th – Brazilian Independence Day. Congratulations to all Brazilians. Together we make the nation stronger every day. I am proud to be able to defend our beloved homeland in world MMA.” said the athlete.

“For the people who only wear the Brazilian shirt for the World Cup and Brazilian football matches… Today is the day to put on the shirt for the Independence of Brazil”, said Pederneiras, in addition to putting the slogan adopted by the current President of the Republic and candidate for re-election, Jair Bolsonaro: 'Brazil above all and God above all'.
