For bookmakers in the United States, James Te Huna was the most likely to win the duel against Mauritius Shogun at UFC Fight Night 33, last Friday (06). The New Zealander's favoritism, however, lasted until the central referee authorized the start of the fight. From then on, Te Huna presented no danger to Shogun and ended up being knocked out with a spectacular counterattack in the first round. In your profile on Facebook, the fighter himself commented on the defeat.

“I just had a little nap (laughs). Well… I made a mistake and paid the price. I would like to thank everyone who supported me, my coaches and training partners, who took the time to help me. It wasn't supposed to end the year this way, but such things happen. Congratulations to Shogun, 'Big' Soa (Palelei) and the two warriors in the main fight Mark (Hunt) and Pezão. This was the heavyweight fight of the year,” wrote Te Huna.

PUBLICITY:

It wasn't just James Te Huna who surrendered to Shogun's knockout. Shortly after the coup, at Twitter, UFC president Dana White called it the “knockout of the century”. Now the “chubby” Roy Nelson praised the Brazilian. "Dynamite! Never discount the legends of this sport. Congratulations Shogun,” he wrote. The North American Brad Tavares, in turn, questioned Te Huna's favoritism pointed out before the duel. “And that's exactly why I couldn't believe Shogun was the 'underdog'…” he posted. Finally, the friend Wanderlei Silva highlighted the reunion between the former champion and the victories. “Congratulations Shogun, what a beautiful knockout. The champion is back!”, said Wand.
