One day after Matt Brown was cut from UFC on FOX 9 due to a back injury, Carlos Condit, who would be his opponent at the event, released an official statement about what happened. In the note, Condit regretted not being able to face Brown this Saturday (14) in Sacramento (USA) and stated that he will wait for his opponent to recover so that the confrontation can be rescheduled.

“I was very disappointed to hear about Matt Brown's injury. This was a fight I was looking forward to immensely and I know it was a fight the fans were excited to see. When it happens, I promise it will be worth the wait. Right now, I'm going to spend time with my family over the holidays and hope Matt recovers quickly so we can reschedule this fight soon.
