After the defeat to Dan Henderson at UFC-93, the former UFC champion, Rich Franklin He was forced to undergo eye surgery to recover from the injury suffered during the fight. The injury occurred when Hendo accidentally hit Rich's eyeball with his finger, causing the eyelid to detach.
After the surgical process, Franklin commented on the treatment and already foresees his return to the Octagon.
“The worst part was the first procedure, two injections in the eye,” he said. “It’s very scary to see the doctor stick a needle in your eye,” Rich said. “But my first thought is to return to the organization (UFC). I just want to put on good fights for the fans,” he concluded.
