In a battle of knockouts, Tuivasa survived a real battle with Lewis. The fighter, who started badly, showed his power of reaction and achieved a brutal knockout. He got the better of him and 'erased' his rival in the Octagon UFC 271.

In the second round, Lewis knocked his opponent off balance in the first minute, with a series of punches. Derrick shortened it and tried the takedown again. Tuivasa managed to get away and the athletes returned to their frank exchanges.
