Chris Leben expects to be 'a problem' for Uriah Hall at UFC 168

Veteran of TUF's first season will try to bounce back from his last three consecutive losses

C. Leben was one of 22 fighters tested and approved for anti-doping at UFC 162

Chris Leben believes that in his next fight he will have a good opportunity to get back on track to winning in the UFC. The veteran of the first season of the reality show The Ultimate Fighter will face another fighter revealed by the program, Uriah Hall, who was the runner-up in season 17, at UFC 168.

Of his last five fights, Leben managed just one victory, against Wanderlei Silva, in 2011. The North American is coming off three consecutive defeats, and therefore will have to get a good result in his next fight to continue his career.

However, Hall is not having the best of times either. He was a big sensation during his participation in the reality show, achieving impressive knockouts. However, when he played in the UFC's main events, the athlete did not achieve the expected performances and suffered two defeats. Due to his low performance, Hall was the target of several criticisms, including from the president of the event, Dana White, who stated that the fighter had psychological blocks in giving his best.

In an interview with the English magazine Fighters Only website, Leben showed his expectation of giving Hall even more concern. “I hope he has another psychological problem. I will be a problem for him,” he said.

“The Crippler” revealed that he has already received public support for the fight. “It's interesting that as soon as the fight was booked, people were telling me to break his face,” he said. “I don't know if people don't like him or what. He’s a bit of a bully and likes to pick on others.”

Leben believes he will be favored by his opponent's fighting style. “It’s a good fight for me. We are on opposite sides in terms of style. He moves, dances, spins, has some tricks, some spinning moves. I'm determined, tough. It’s a good fight for the public and I hope my side prevails.”

The fight between Hall and Leben will be part of the UFC 168 card, on December 28th. The event will have two title fights: Miesha Tate face Ronda Rousey duel in the female bantamweight category, while Anderson Silva e Chris Weidman make their long-awaited rematch for the middleweight title.
