Cormier renews contract with UFC and should face Rashad Evans

According to the North American television program UFC Tonight, Daniel Cormier signed an eight-fight contract with the UFC, and in his next fight he is expected to drop in weight and move up to light heavyweight.

Cormier, training partner of Cain Velazquez, won all of his 13 fights as a professional MMA fighter. Until then, he acted as a heavyweight, having won the Strikeforce GP in 2012 and his two fights in the UFC, against Frank mir e Roy Nelson.

However, as his teammate is the current heavyweight belt holder, Cormier decided to challenge the champion Jon Jones by the crown up to 93 kg. So, according to the television program, his next opponent should be Rashad evans, which comes from victory over Chael Sonnen.
