This Thursday (05), duel against James Te Huna at UFC Fight Night 33 became even more decisive for the future of Mauritius Shogun. This is because the president of Ultimate Dana White admitted that he can talk to the Brazilian about his retirement if he suffers another defeat this Friday (06).

“It’s a great fight for both fighters. Obviously for Shogun, for being in that position and facing a guy like Te Huna. This is the fight of Te Huna's life. If he wins, he will enter the top 10 for good, everyone will know his name and will want to know his next move. And, yes, if Shogun loses, I will probably have that conversation (about retirement) with him”, said the director, in an interview with the North American channel “FOX Sports”.

But White doesn't see the end of his career as the only possibility for Shogun, who has lost his last two fights and has four defeats in his last six UFC fights. In the same statement, Dana also commented on the Brazilian's possible move to middleweight. “I haven't talked to him, but it's not a bad idea. If he loses this fight, I would be interested in following up with him at middleweight”, he highlighted.

This Friday (06), Saturday (07) local time, Mauritius Shogun puts his Ultimate destiny on the line against James Te Huna, in the co-main fight of UFC Fight Night 33, in Brisbane (Australia). In the main fight of the night, heavyweight Antônio “Pezão” Silva faces the New Zealander Mark Hunt.
