Out of action since winning Rashad evans in February this year, Rogério Minotouro Now join the married team. Last Saturday night (30), the UFC light heavyweight exchanged rings with former Miss Santa Catarina Aline Zermiani, with whom he had been dating since last year. The Bahian fighter and his bride chose her home state for the ceremony, which was attended by his twin brother Rodrigo Minotauro e Rafael Feijão, also an Ultimate athlete.
“Side by my beautiful wife on this wonderful day. May God bless our union”, wrote the athlete on his profile on Twitter. The post on the social network generated several comments and likes within a few hours. Junior Gypsy was one of those who greeted the couple. “I couldn’t attend my friend, I’m sorry. I really wanted to be present at a moment like this, but I'm in a rush here in São Paulo. So may God bless you and your wife. May happiness and love reign over you”, commented the former heavyweight champion.
Since beating Evans in the co-main event of UFC 156, Rogério Minotouro is out of action due to a series of back injuries. The injury has already caused the light heavyweight to give up his duel against Mauritius Shogun, scheduled for UFC 161, and subsequently withdrew from facing the Swede Alexander Gustafson in March 2014. Currently, Minotouro is fifth in the under-93 kg category according to the official Ultimate rankings.
