TUF Brasil 1 participant Francisco “massaranduba” Trinaldo will have the chance in February of next year to recover from his second defeat as an Ultimate athlete. The organization announced that massaranduba, defeated by Piotr Hallmann in Belo Horizonte in October, will face the Canadian Jesse Ronson at UFC Fight Night 36, in Jaraguá do Sul (SC).
massaranduba, 35 years old, has a record of 13 wins and three losses. The Piauí native participated in TUF Brasil 1 as a middleweight (up to 84 kg), but since winning his fight in the final event of the reality show, he has worked in the lightweight category (up to 70 kg). In the UFC, the athlete has a record of three wins and two losses. Your opponent, Jesse Ronson, has the same record in MMA: 13 wins and three losses. The Canadian is coming off a defeat to Michel Trator.
UFC Fight Night 36 takes place on February 15, 2014, at Jaraguá Arena, in Jaraguá do Sul (SC). In the main fight of the night, the former light heavyweight champion Lyoto Machida faces the Armenian-Dutch Gegard Mousasi, in a fight valid for the middleweight division. In the evening's co-main event, Ronaldo Jacare faces Frenchman Francis Carmont.
