After the injury of Jake ellenberger, the Ultimate organization promoted an Asian athlete for the main fight of UFC Fight Night 34, which takes place in Singapore. According to the website “MMA Junkie”, South Korean Hyun Gyu Lim is the new opponent of the last champion of the extinct Strikeforce Tarec saffiedine in the fight that closes the night of fights.
Gyu Lim, 28 years old, has a record of 12 wins, three losses and one draw. “The Ace”, as he is known, comes from seven consecutive victories, the last two as an Ultimate athlete. His opponent, the Belgian Tarec saffiedine, has a record of 14 wins and three losses. In January of this year, Saffiedine won the Strikeforce welterweight belt in the organization's last event before its absorption by the UFC. However, since then, “Sponge”, as he is known, has been awaiting his debut in Ultimate.
