Even though he has been away from competition for almost four years, Wanderlei Silva, world MMA legend, continues to increase his fortune. At least that's what the declaration of assets made by the former fighter with the TSE (Superior Electoral Court) shows. Once again a candidate for federal deputy in the state of Paraná, the “Crazy Dog” declared assets of more than R$22 million, a value almost 400% higher than that declared in 2018, when he also ran for office. The information was obtained through the TSE website.

In 2018, when he was a candidate for the Social Democratic Party (PSD), Wanderlei Silva declared the value of R$6.372.971 in assets, the majority of which came from “fixed income investments” and “other investments and investments”. At the time, the former fighter received 13.755 votes and was not elected.

Four years later, candidate for the Progressives Party (PP), Wanderlei Silva declared R$22.342.526,14 in assets, almost four times the value declared in the first application. More than R$15 million of this amount is declared as “other assets and rights” or “other funds”, without further specification.

A substantial difference noted between the two candidates Wanderlei Silva is due to the declared value of properties. In 2018, the former fighter declared R$600 thousand as “Home”. In the current application, the declared value was R$2.699.265,05.
