Claudia Sonnen, mother of UFC fighter Chael Sonnen, is concerned about the physical integrity of the fighter during his future visit to Brazil for the recording of the reality show The Ultimate Fighter.

The former middleweight and light heavyweight title challenger will face Wanderlei Silva in the third season of the Brazilian edition of the program, and his arrival in the country is arousing public curiosity due to the controversies caused by the fighter in the past.

At the time of his first fight against Anderson Silva, Sonnen made several provocative statements against the country and several other targets, including the Nogueira brothers, Wanderlei and Anderson himself. Since then, the North American has not spared any controversy.

In an interview with the Terra portal, the fighter's mother revealed her concern. “I'm worried about his safety on filming. I know you [Brazilians] are nice and decent people,” she said. “That said, it only takes one deranged person to ruin everything. I pray that you do not allow anyone to get to Chael. He is a great coach and is eager to help the young fighters as much as he can,” added Claudia.
