Jamahal Hill reveals he wasn't surprised by Marreta's strategy and celebrates victory at UFC Vegas 59

Hill also smiled with every takedown defense he managed against Marreta. The North American, despite being losing until the fourth round, turned things around and scored a technical knockout on the Brazilian. Even so, he 'laid down' in the Octagon as a sign of tiredness due to the intensity of the blows.

Tenth in the rankings, Jamahal should move up positions and get closer to the top-5 of light heavyweights (up to 93kg), a category led by Jiri Prockazha. In his career, which began in 2017, the American has a record of 11 wins, one loss and one 'no result' fight. He subsequently surpassed Johnny Walker e Thiago Marreta.
