Relentless in UFC Las Vegas 59, Neal has plenty of reasons to celebrate. Current number 13 in the welterweight rankings (up to 77kg), the fighter should make a significant leap in the division led by Kamaru Usman.

In an interview still in the octagon, Geoff dreams big in the organization. After the triumph, the athlete challenged Gilbert Durinho, number four in the group.

The fight

The confrontation began with Luque taking the initiative with a low kick, followed by a kick to the belt, an attack responded in kind by Neal. Even in the first minute, the fighters accepted the open fight and exchanged blows in the center of the octagon. The clash remained tense, with the fighters seeking the outcome in the fast lane. Almost halfway through the round, Vicente was hit by a straight shot from the American. Geoff tried to take advantage of the good moment and combined blows to the Tupiniquim's body. Even with the scare, Luque continued walking towards his rival and tried to recover from his opponent's attacks. Near the final minute, the Brazilian collapsed after another direct shot from the North American. Vicente stayed on his feet, but was punished by his opponent. At a disadvantage, the Tupiniquim continued to receive clean blows from his rival, but there was no more time.

In the second stage, the first blow again came from Vicente, with a kick to the opponent's waistline. Neal changed the base and tried to confuse the Tupiniquim. The North American seemed comfortable in the confrontation, and scored with jabs and straight shots. The Brazilian attacked, but was repeatedly surprised by his opponent's counterattacks. Near the final minute, Neal managed a nice takedown on the Tupiniquim, but Luque got up quickly. Almost at the end of the stage, Vicente started to loosen up and combined punches and kicks to his opponent's body. The assault ended with the athletes exchanging attacks in the center of the Octagon.
