Jorge Masvidal says he 'wouldn't be surprised' by Nate Diaz's victory over Chimaev and is mocked by the Swede

Jorge masvidal criticized again Khamzat Shimaev. In an interview with 'MMA fighting', the North American recalled the Swede's fight against Gilbert Durinho and revealed that he is still not convinced about his rival's power in Ultimate fights. He also commented on the 'Borz' against Nate diaz.

“It was supposed to be his 'debutante' party (the fight against Durinho), but it didn't go as planned. Many people felt that Gilbert would have won the fights. I really don't think Khamzat is as good as they say he is. I only believe by seeing and, so far, I haven't seen anything that makes me believe. They (UFC) probably want to put Diaz in a fight against someone who doesn't match his style. So, they gave us an annoying fighter, who will try to hug your legs and smell your crotch,” said Masvidal.

When asked about the fight between Chimaev and Diaz, scheduled to take place on UFC 279 on September 10 of this year, Masvidal stated that, despite the Swede being the favorite, his former rival is capable of delivering a tough fight.

I think Khamzat will probably win, but I can also see Nate beating him in the fourth or fifth round. Khamzat doesn't have that 'gas tank' and experience. Nate will conserve all that energy and get in his face when he needs to. I think Khamzat should win, but I won't be surprised if Nate stops him. Personally, I would love to break his face. Once he starts selling pay-per-views and things like that. I wouldn’t mind breaking his face.”

Chimaev's answer

Chimaev acted quickly and, in his 'Twitter' official, replied Masvidal. In addition to placing two photos of 'Jesus das Ruas' knocked out against Kamaru Usman, the Swede mocked him asking him to 'wake up from his sleep'. The two constantly tease each other on social media.
