In addition to its power to promote great confrontations in the Ultimate Octagon, Renato Moicano is recognized for measuring forces against relevant names in the company. Now, asked about his future in the lightweight division (up to 70,3 kg), the Brazilian recognizes that he needs to get back on the path to victory, but reveals interest in fighting the 'New Conor McGregor’, Paddy Pimblett.

“As a fighter, we must understand our role (in the show). I'm coming off a loss and hoping the UFC offers me some undefeated guy making his UFC debut or some tough Russian guy, but that's not a problem – I'm used to killing two lions a day and that's what I need to do to get back up the rankings. . But if they want to give me a 'surprise gift', Paddy Pimblett will be very welcome”, said Moicano in an interview with 'sherdog'.

It does not stop there. Moicano also spoke about his qualities on the ground, but highlighted that the Englishman does not have good striking skills. He, however, recognizes the phenomenon on social media and is uncertain about Ultimate's interest in the duel.

“Without a doubt he has qualities. He is able to absorb punches and has reasonable ground ability. But his wrestling isn't good, he's not physically strong and his striking is also below average. But we have to understand the business, his numbers on social media are incredible and also his hype with the fans, so I completely understand that the UFC takes care of him. Giving him a guy like 'Moicano' wouldn't make sense now,” he concluded.
