Quinton Rampage Jackson is on his honeymoon with Bellator. After knocking out Joey Beltran in the first round in his debut at the event, last Friday, the former UFC light heavyweight champion praised the atmosphere in his new home.
According to Jackson, Bellator values the role of its athletes more in the success of the event, unlike what was experienced in the UFC. “Sometimes we just want to be recognized for the things we do. And that's what we have here. Did you see when Bjorn [Rebney, president of Bellator] thanked all the fighters for the beautiful show? That’s the difference”, said the North American, at a press conference.
“That’s what we like. We like our salary too, we have to pay our bills and our training, but it's not just about money. At the end of the day, recognition is worth more than money. That is our legacy when we die and that is what we will be remembered for,” Jackson added.
