With an eye on a rematch, Cris Cyborg once again challenges Amanda Nunes

After another triumph for the 'Lione', the veteran of the sport once again asked for a second duel, with an eye on revenge for the knockout suffered in 2018

As 'tradition' dictates, Chris Cyborg quickly took to social media to ask for a rematch after a fight Amanda nunes. As soon as the fight between the bantamweight champion (up to 61,2kg) against Julianna Pena, the queen of the featherweights (up to 65,7kg) 'questioned' on her Twitter, whether it wasn't time for a rematch between her and the 'Lioness'.

“Are we doing rematches now?! #CyborgVsNunes2”, wrote the veteran on her social network.

The first duel between Amanda and Cyborg took place at UFC 232, in December 2018. At the time, the veteran was the UFC featherweight champion and was challenged by the Brazilian, leader of the bantamweight division. When the fight started, the 'Lione' took no notice of Cris, knocked out the female MMA legend in just 51 seconds and became the first woman with two belts in the history of the organization chaired by Dana White.

After being knocked out by Amanda, Cyborg had just one more fight in the company and after the end of her contract, the organization showed no interest in renewing her contract. The veteran immediately moved to rival Bellator and in her first fight in her new home, she became featherweight champion. Currently, Cyborg continues her reign, where she has already defended her title on four occasions.
