When released more than two months ago, the UFC 167 poster already suggested that John hendricks can “shock the world” in the fight against Georges St Pierre. The welterweight champion seems to agree with that statement and considers Hendricks his most dangerous opponent to date. In conversation with journalists in Las Vegas (USA), GSP spoke about next Saturday's duel (16) and praised the opponent's qualities.
“Johny is unique, he has a different style compared to all the other guys I fought against. He causes problems that others don't, but I'm going to cause problems for him too. So, it’s going to be a tough fight,” said the Canadian. “It’s the hardest fight of my career. I'm just focused on one thing. I'll look at the stats, I like them, and it'll be fun. But now I'm just focused on doing my best and being the best I can”, added the champion, denying that records are his concern at the moment.
This Saturday (16), Georges St Pierre defends the welterweight belt against John hendricks in the main fight of UFC 167, an event that marks 20 years of the largest MMA organization on the planet. Fight night takes place at MGM Grand Garden Arena, in Las Vegas (USA). In the co-main fight, the loudmouth Chael Sonnen faces the former light heavyweight champion Rashad evans.
