Two of the greatest legends in the history of Ultimate met in the open training sessions of UFC 167. Invited by the welterweight champion Georges St Pierre, Royce gracie, champion of three of the organization's first four tournaments, participated in the activities together with the Canadian.
St. Pierre, his team and Royce made the traditional “train” style entrance of the Gracie family. During training, Royce blindfolded GSP before executing some jiu-jitsu techniques, as he himself did. “I told him, ‘I want you to feel the movements. And we work to feel the positions, feel the movements”, explained Gracie. "I'm his fan. From the way he fights, how he uses strategy and what he represents for martial arts,” he concluded.
