Flyers' promise, Mokaev criticizes Paddy Pimblett's behavior: 'acts like an animal'

With three fights and three wins in the UFC, as well as a unique personality outside the Octagon, Paddy Pimblett has established himself as a potential star of the organization. The way of the British “sensation”, however, does not suit everyone. Promise of the flyweights (up to 56,7 kg) of Ultimate, Muhammad Mokayev made harsh criticism of Pimblett's behavior.

After defeating Charles Johnson on the preliminary card of UFC London, last Saturday (23), Muhammad Mokayev gave an interview to reporters present at the O2 Arena. Asked about his opinion regarding Pimblett, the British-born Russian stated that he does not see his compatriot as a “good example” and wished that other British athletes had the prominence that the “New McGregor” has in the press.

“There are several guys who don’t get the attention they should from the media: arnold allen, Leon edwards, Tom aspinall, Nathaniel Wodd. These guys are incredible, good examples. I don't disrespect the press, but you pay attention to clowns like Paddy Pimblett. These guys never make the top 15. If you understand MMA, you know they'll never make it. I don't think he's a great example for young people. Follow Tom aspinall, arnold allen, Leon edwards, real men inside and outside the cage. I'm proud to be on the same card as a man like Tom aspinall”, said Mokaev.

Fighting on the same card as Paddy Pimblett Twice in a row, Mokaev witnessed up close all the “noise” made by his compatriot in the UFC. The flyweight, however, didn't like what he saw at all.

“This guy drops his pants. A man doesn't do that. Women don't do that. Drop your pants, get fat, drink beer, act like an animal. I know people from Liverpool and they don't do these things. This guy is awesome. I don't hate him, but I would like to see the new generation follow real men. This guy is after the security guards. When he sees a camera, he's the one, but when he doesn't have cameras, he hides. I know that energy,” he finished.
