John hendricks, who will try to unseat the welterweight champion, Georges St Pierre, next Saturday, believes he has deciphered the Canadian's strategy for UFC 167.

The North American believes that the champion will try to abuse his long advantage in wingspan (1,93 m of GSP against 1,75 m of Hendricks) to control the distance and avoid the powerful blows of the challenger, known for his great knockout power. .

“He will throw a jab. Afterwards, he will throw a jab. Afterwards, he will release more and more jabs. Then he will try to unbalance me, for sure. I think that's his strategy. He will also try to bring me down as much as he can. That’s what I’m preparing for,” predicted Hendricks, citing a strategy similar to that adopted by St. Pierre in the confrontation with Josh koscheckin December 2010.

Even though he is training intensely for the title fight, Hendricks said he is not obsessed with the fight. “I'm not going down that path, because I can't do anything today or tomorrow. I will only be able to do something on November 16th,” he commented. “I’m not going to say anything bad about St. Pierre. I just think it’s my turn to be the new champion,” he concluded.
