Historical victim of Alex Poatán No. UFC 276, held at the beginning of July, Sean Strickland admitted that he still has difficulties dealing with the tough defeat he suffered against the Brazilian. The athlete, who was undefeated in the middleweight division (up to 83,9kg) until the clash against the Brazilian, opened up about his difficult time. In an interview with 'The Schmo', or 'bad boy' spoke about the subject.

“I am going through difficult times. You can confirm this by looking at the beard and hair. I may have started using drugs, drinking, living under a bridge. That’s how I feel right now,” Strickland said.

No UFC 276, Sean experienced his most important commitment since moving to middleweight in the organization. Against Alex, the American would have the opportunity to qualify for a title fight later.

O 'bad boy', however, he had little time to impose his strategy against the new Brazilian star. Victim of Poatan's precision and power, the fighter ended up being heavily knocked out in the first round.

With the defeat, Strickland was momentarily removed from his dream of fighting for an Ultimate title. Alex, in turn, got his passport stamped and confirmed himself as the champion's next challenger Israel adesanya, Brazilian martyr twice in his kickboxing days.
