The good relationship established between Chael Sonnen and Palmeiras during the preparation for the North American's second fight against Anderson Silva, sponsored by rival Corinthians, does not appear to have been just marketing to promote the fight. With a trip to Brazil guaranteed in the coming months to record the reality show The Ultimate Fighter Brazil 3, the loudmouth assured that he will visit the São Paulo club.
“I always follow Palmeiras. I'm going to watch a game or training. I will definitely pay the team a visit. I don’t know what their schedule is like, but I’m certainly going there,” said Sonnen, in an interview with the “Combate” channel’s website. Last year, Sonnen was presented by Palmeiras with a kit, which contained a club shirt and a DVD. The loudmouth posed with his shirt on in photos and even changed the background of his Twitter for several team shields.
Along with the disaffection Wanderlei Silva, Chael Sonnen will be coach of the third Brazilian edition of the The Ultimate Fighter. About two weeks ago, the loudmouth received the news live from Dana White that he would participate in TUF, during the “FOX Sports Live” program that he runs on North American TV. For Sonnen, the great news is that with this he will finally be able, after many public provocations, to face Wanderlei Silva in the octagon, in the coaches' duel after the end of the reality show.
