"When Nate diaz Aren't you saying something crazy? I've said it a million times and I'll say it again: we can't hold guys hostage. It's not possible. I owe you three fights a year. If you don't fight three times a year, I have to pay you. How could I hold him hostage?” asked Dana.

In the interview given last week, Nate diaz stated that he asked for fights against four or five different opponents and even agreed to an offer to face Khamzat Shimaev, but nothing happened. Dana White, however, guarantees that he plans to find an opponent for the American as soon as possible.

“What do you think my plans are? Let's get him a fight. Let's see what happens. I have to give him three fights a year. I offer fights, he accepts them or refuses them. Obviously, I’m not going to pay him since I offered the fights”, said the president.

Shortly after Dana White's interview, Nate diaz he went to social media, mocked the UFC president's speech and again asked to be released from the organization.

“Dana said that Francis Ngannou He was hurt and couldn't fight now. I don't know why he was so confused in the interview. In the last nine months I have been offered zero fights and I have asked for five legitimate opponents. Thank you for the kind words. Can I go now?” Diaz wrote.
