After big fight, Eddie Alvarez and Michael Chandler are suspended for 60 days

The intense battle between Eddie Alvarez and Michael chandler, last Saturday (02), in the main fight of Bellator 106, left marks on the athletes. After one of the best fights of 2013, the fighters suffered several injuries and ended up suspended for 60 days. The medical hook was announced by the California Athletic Commission, the entity that sanctioned the event.

Alvarez suffered a cut on his left eyebrow and some injuries to the orbital bone of his face. In turn, Chandler will be sidelined by a cut over his left eye. They may return sooner, as long as a doctor evaluates the injuries.

Among the other athletes, Brazilian Cleber Luciano also received a long uppercut. He is suspended for 60 days due to a head injury. Cristiano Souza, the other Brazilian athlete on the Bellator 106 card, received a seven-day regulatory suspension.

Joe riggs: suspended 180 days and may be canceled after medical evaluation. Suspected fractures of the right thumb and right orbital bone. He will remain without any physical contact for 60 days due to a cut on his left eyebrow;

Mike bronzoulis: mandatory seven-day suspension;

Mike richman: mandatory seven-day suspension;

Akop Stepanyan: suspended 60 days without contact, may be canceled after medical evaluation. He suffered a cut on his left eyelid;

Cristiano Souza: mandatory seven-day suspension;

Alejandro Garcia: suspended 180 days and may be canceled after medical evaluation. Suspected fracture in the right forearm;

Cristiano Souza: mandatory seven-day suspension;

Hector Ramirez: preventive suspension of 45 days, with 30 days without contact;

Jesse Juarez: mandatory seven-day suspension;

Joe williams: preventive suspension of 45 days, with 30 days without contact;

Mike Guymon: mandatory seven-day suspension;

Aaron Miller: mandatory seven-day suspension;

Cleber Luciano: suspended 60 days and may be canceled after medical evaluation. He suffered a cut on his right temple;

Joe Camacho: suspended 60 days or until cleared by a doctor. He suffered a cut on his left eyebrow;

Josh Smith: mandatory seven-day suspension;

Darren Smith: mandatory seven-day suspension;
