Caio Borralho does well, dominates Armen Petrosyan and wins on points at UFC Las Vegas 58

This Saturday (9), Caio Borralho achieved his second victory in Ultimate. With an efficient game in takedowns and dominant positions on the ground, the Brazilian came out with his arms raised in the fight against the Armenian Armen petrosyan in the unanimous decision of the judges. The fight was valid for middleweights (up to 83,9kg), the second most important in the UFC Las Vegas 58.

Caio, thus, achieves his second triumph in Ultimate. In his career, now, the Maranhão native has 12 triumphs, one setback and one 'no result' fight.

Petrosyan, in turn, has broken his streak of three positive results. The Armenian has seven wins and two defeats.

The fight

The first minute was marked by a lot of study between the fighters, with Borralho kicking high and getting a takedown on Petrosyan. The Brazilian made a transition to the arm and then passed a hook to his opponent's back. Calmly, Caio closed the 'lock' and moved the attack to the rear naked choke – which ended up being defended by the Armeno.

The next assault was marked by the Brazilian's intelligence. Petrosyan was comfortable on his feet, but found himself involved in Borralho's takedown game. The Armenian, however, burst into mount and left the dangerous game. The striking position was dangerous for Caio, who took the takedown again with ease. The Maranhão native easily reached the back and saw his rival make the save.

In the last round, Caio had an easier time imposing his pace and Armen knew how to defend takedowns. Already looking a little tired, the Brazilian chose not to take risks and knew how to work close to the grid.
