The 31st edition of WOCS takes place this Friday (01), at Clube Hebraica, Rio Janeiro, and promises to be hot. In addition to the dispute for a place in the final in the flyweight GP between Alexandre pantoja and Daniel “Zé Grilo”, another highlight of the show will be Vitor “Leite Ninho” Oristanio, son of Record actor Giuseppe Oristanio. He will have his second MMA fight against André Minibroca.

Alexandre pantoja He was initially scheduled to face Pedro Nobre at WOCS 29, but with the disqualification of his then opponent for not making weight, he was forced to wait two months before being able to fight. The Nova União athlete guarantees that, with this time, he was able to prepare better and promises to go after his opponent, Daniel “Zé Grilo”, from RFT, in a duel with a hint of rivalry between two of the main martial arts academies in Rio de Janeiro, located less than 5km from each other.

“I had already been training very hard for the GP and I'm feeling much better than last time. I can’t wait to fight and go all out and try to end the fight as quickly as possible”, says Pantoja. “I don't know Zé Grilo very well, but I have a lot of respect for everyone at RFT and for Mestre Cromado, who was once my corner. Pulling sardines on my side, I think Nova União is a little ahead because they have two UFC belts and one from Bellator, but I think they are on the right path too.”

On the other side of the corner, Daniel Zé Grilo is full of motivation to face the tough guy from Nova União. Hoping to follow in the footsteps of his gym mates and UFC athletes, Luiz Besouro and José Maria “Sem Chance”, he didn’t think twice about accepting the fight against Pantoja. He guarantees that he knows the opponent's playing style well and has advantages in combat.

“I look up to my friends here at RFT a lot, I train with the best. Beetle gives me a lot of advice, and of course I want to follow the same path. I also know that Alexandre is a tough guy, bigger than me, he changes well, but I'm going to attack him and put on a show for the public. My strategy is to go out to win”, he guarantees.
