Victim of a finger in the eye that determined the fight 'without result' in the UFC 276, Peter Munhoz revealed that his family has been the victim of threats on social media. Opponent of Sean O'Malley last Saturday (2), the Brazilian stated the reprehensible attitudes in an interview with 'The MMA Hour'. According to Tupiniquim, the rival's stance after the incident may have influenced the actions of a portion of internet users.
“Many people sent me messages talking about my wife, my family, saying they want to fight me. To these Internet users, I say: 'You can find me. I'll be in the pool on Monday all day.' Some of them pass for gangsters behind a computer screen. Many of them were there (in the UFC 276). I saw a lot of them and nobody did anything,” he said.

In addition to revealing the regrettable situation, Munhoz also criticized O'Malley's stance after the fight. The Brazilian even confirmed an apology from the North American but, later, his rival changed his tone and started to make fun of the Tupiniquim's injury, who, subsequently, admitted to having suffered a cut on his cornea.
“He (Sean) didn't do it on purpose, but many of his actions after the fight are not correct, according to my values. He apologized and then recorded a video on 'TikTok' ridiculing me. (…) You say one thing and, on the other side, you do another”, said Pedro.
Munhoz's injury happened in the second round. According to two of the three side judges, the Brazilian was winning the match. After the finger in the eye, the Brazilian appeared uncomfortable and was unable to continue the confrontation.
