Former bantamweight champion (up to 61,2kg), Miesha Tate believes that he will soon be able to win a UFC belt again. On the eve of the duel against Lauren Murphy, 'Cupcake' believes that, in case of victory, she will have an opportunity to challenge the leader of the flies (up to 56,7kgg), Valentina Shevchenko. “Yes, if not me, then who else? If I go out and beat Lauren (Murphy) the way I intend to, and I don't want to jinx myself, then I'm not going to say that, but just watch on the 16th. I'm going to go out there and I'm going to win, she (Valentina Shevchenko) is going to say my name a lot more often because if not me, who else?” Tate said.

Even praising the skills of Lauren Murphy, Miesha believes that she will win the duel and stated that she is ready to face Valentina for the flyweight belt.

“I want to fight the best. I want to fight Valentina. Lauren is a tough and brave fighter, she is in the top five so it will be a big win for me. That will put me right in that spot, and Valentina did a great job of cleaning up everyone else, so the division is really open,” concluded the former champion.
