After almost coming to blows with Dustin Poirier backstage at UFC 276, Michael chandler he once again provoked his newest rival. In a post made on his Twitter, the former Bellator lightweight champion (up to 70,3kg) insinuated that the 'Diamante' had lost his cool at the T-Mobile Arena and called him 'emotionally insecure'.

Number five in the lightweight rankings, 'Iron' was coming off two consecutive defeats in his career, to Charles of the Bronx e Justin gaethje. However, in his last fight, Chandler recovered brilliantly by achieving a spectacular knockout against the veteran Tony Ferguson. Michael has a record in the sport of 23 triumphs and seven setbacks.
Dustin poirier had been backed by three consecutive victories in the category, two of them over Conor McGregor, and won the right to fight for the belt in the most difficult category in world MMA. However, in UFC 269, against the Brazilian Charles of the Bronx, the North American succumbed in the third round after being submitted with a rear naked choke.
