Israel adesanya defended the middleweight belt against Jared Cannonier in the main fight of UFC 276, an event held this Saturday (02), in Las Vegas (USA). In a tactical fight, the champion dominated the challenger for five rounds and won the judges' decision.
During the fight, Adesanya took control of the distance, making it difficult for Cannonier to approach. The champion combined hand strikes and kicks, but without much force. Jared only managed to take the fight to the cage in rounds three and four, but without managing to take him down. Israel once again controlled the distance in the last part and took the fight in the decision.

With the result, Adesanya defended the middleweight belt for the fifth time and recorded his 23rd victory in 24 fights as a professional. On the other hand, Cannonier suffered his sixth defeat in 21 appearances
