The opening of the main card of the UFC 276, an event held this Saturday (2), ended on a bitter note. In the second round, while the duel remained balanced, the Brazilian suffered a finger in the eye from Sean O'Malley and was unable to continue the fight. After medical attention, referee Jason Herzog judged it as unintentional and declared the clash as 'no result'.

Thus, Pedrinho is unable to win again in the organization and goes through a series of three fights – two defeats and a 'no contest'. He has 19 triumphs, seven setbacks and one 'no result' fight.

O'Malley, on the other hand, is unable to make a leap in the bantamweight category (up to 61,2kg.) and has 15 positive results and one negative, in addition to the frustrating outcome in the UFC 276.

The fight

Both athletes started by kicking low. O'Malley measured the distance to enter the range of action, while Munhoz aimed to approach through combinations. Pedro kicked well in the calf and saw his rival become more static in the octagon. Sean, in turn, provoked the Brazilian and landed blows to the waistline before the end of the round.

With a plastic style, O'Malley landed the greatest number of blows at the beginning of the round, in addition to finding distance well with punches and straight kicks. In an attempt to get closer to strike, Pedro received a poke in the eye and, after a doctor's assessment, he did not continue in the fight.

Sensational! In a veteran fight on the main card of UFC 276, Robbie Lawler He had a fight marked by frank striking, but ended up defeated by Bryan Barbarena in the second round. The former welterweight champion (under 77kg) was knocked out standing up and didn't even give an interview in the Octagon.

The fight started strong, with great exchanges between the athletes. Lawler reached the distance and hurt Barbarena near the fence. Bryan, however, didn't let it go and counterattacked frequently. The fight continued at a high level at close range, with both athletes being injured until the end of the round.

The pace did not slow down. Still under great control and pressure, Lawler 'relented' with combinations within the range of action. Barbarena, who continued his stance, stopped betting on the cage after a nose bleed and went for 'all or nothing', making Robbie feel it. Bryan, spectacularly, recovered and knocked out the former champion, standing up.

Lawler now has a record of 29 wins, 16 losses and one 'no result' fight. Barbarena has a record of 18 triumphs and eight setbacks.
