As is the organization's custom when a fight ends without result due to an illegal blow applied accidentally, a rematch between Melvin Guillard and Ross Pearson has already been announced by Ultimate. The athletes will meet again in the Octagon on March 8, 2014.

The announcement was made by Garry Cook, the organization's executive, in Manchester (England). Cook stated that the rematch between Guillard and Pearson will take place at the next English edition of the UFC, in London, which already has a duel between Rogério “Minotouro” Nogueira and Alexander Gustafson confirmed as main fight.
