M-1 Global arrives in Brazil

The Russian company M-1 Global Group, one of the biggest in the world in MMA and which held Fedor Emilianenko's contract, arrives in Brazil after a year of negotiations. The event will feature 16 countries divided into four groups and through a partnership between the company's executives and businessmen Eduardo Grimaldi and Fernando Navarro, owners of Naja Extreme, a Brazilian company in the fightwear sector, the event will feature a stage in Brazil, which is scheduled to take place on May 9th in São Paulo.

“The M1 is a world championship that encompasses 16 countries divided into four brackets, where each bracket contains four teams. The champions of each group, who will face each other over eight months in different countries, compete in the semifinals in October in Russia and the grand final and the third place dispute take place in November, also in Russia”, explained Eduardo.

Each team will be made up of a captain and five starting athletes, who will be divided into the 70kg, 76kg, 84kg, 93kg and over 93kg categories, plus five reserve athletes. “The Brazilian team is being formed, we are in the final phase of negotiations and I believe that by the end of the month we will announce the names”, said Fernando. The captain of the Brazilian team will be Jiu-Jitsu and Muay Thai black belt, Carlão Barreto. The first match of the Brazilian team, which is in group B with the United States, Korea and Russia, will be on February 21st in the United States, against the American team.

PUBLICITY:

“Carlão Barreto was an excellent choice as captain, as he is very patriotic and I am sure he will fight with everyone on the team for victory. We are very proud to be able to bring this great global event to Brazil. Our country is a great source of MMA fighters and it was high time to have a big event like this, of global proportions. Just as Formula 1 is in Interlagos giving us great joy, now we will also have the M-1, which will give us great joy in MMA”, celebrated Eduardo, who added. “Naja is a company whose mission is to be the first company to be remembered in the minds and hearts of fighters and this contributes greatly to fulfilling our mission”.
