With an eye on the top-10 of the middleweight division (up to 83,9kg), the Brazilian André Sergipano made it clear that he is not in the UFC 'just passing through'. In an interview with 'Combate' before the UFC 276, which takes place next Saturday (02), the Tupiniquim athlete revealed his plans for the future in the organization and believes he will be among the 10 best in his category, if he defeats the North American Uriah Hall.

“I arrived very mature in the organization, after a 10-year MMA career, so I was already well tested, after two Contenders, and I am grateful for the opportunities that the UFC has given me. This next fight against Hall is another great opportunity, there is no easy path. I think the shortest path is for you to go through these quarries, test yourself. So that's what I want, I'm looking to have great fights, fight against great athletes, make my name in the organization and make a legacy”, said Sergipano.
With Uriah Hall Currently in ninth place in the ranking, Sergipano believes he will achieve his dream place in the top-10, if he defeats the North American.
“I'm on a very good streak, so I believe that the positions can be reversed and I think that if I win well, in the next ranking update I should be in the top ten in the world”, concluded the Brazilian.
André currently occupies thirteenth place in the division classification led by Israel adesanya. Coming from the reality show 'Contender Series', Sergipano arrived at the UFC in 2019 and, since then, has won his four fights with the company's gloves. The Brazilian athlete has a record of 22 triumphs and four setbacks as a professional.
