O'Malley claims that 'even if he submitted Khabib' his talent would be questioned by MMA fans

Roosters' promise counters critics and believes he will always be in doubt while competing in the UFC

Treated as a promise of the bantamweight (up to 61,2kg.) of Ultimate, Sean O'Malley admits that he is constantly questioned by fans about his real talent in MMA. Featured in UFC 276, the North American decided to open up and reveal that he doesn't mind the demands on his performances. In a press conference for the event this Saturday (2), the fighter explained his thoughts.

“I could submit Khabib (Nurmagomedov) and people would still say, 'yes, but…'. They would criticize something. So I don't pay attention to the negative things fans say. It doesn't matter to me. I'm going to go up to the octagon on Saturday, run over Pedro (Munhoz) and they will still question it”, said the athlete, in conversation with the press at 'half day'.

In a good moment in his career, coming off three consecutive victories, O'Malley will have the tough challenge of facing the Brazilian Peter Munhoz this weekend. If he beats Tupiniquim, Sean could reach the top 10 in the division led by aljamain sterling.

At 27 years old, the North American has 16 commitments as a professional in MMA. The athlete arrived at the UFC undefeated, but ended up suffering his first defeat in the confrontation against Marlon VeraIn 2020.
