Couldn't Rudolph Vieira. First Brazilian representative on the main card of the UFC Las Vegas 57, the Brazilian was frustrated by the takedown defense of Chris Curtis and ended up defeated in a unanimous decision by the judges. After a good start, he felt tired and saw the North American take advantage. The fight opened the second half of the event.

Rodolfo now feels the 'bitter taste' of the second defeat in his career. The Brazilian was coming off a triumph over Dustin Stoltzfus, but it does not establish the sequence in the organization. He also has eight other victories.

Curtis now has his eighth victory in a series – the third in a row in Ultimate. In his career, there are 29 positive results and eight negative results in MMA.

The fight

Curtis enters the range of action with low kicks and defends a takedown from Rodolfo, landing on top. However, the Brazilian didn't give up, he got out easily and was close to the fence, but he delivered an unintentional kick to his opponent's genitals, which took some time to recover. On the way back, Vieira continued in the same game and went in search of the double leg, but saw the North American make the side exit again. Chris continued to defend the attempts and released his blows on approach.

Rodolfo continued exchanging blows on his feet, but opted for another attempt to change the area. He followed the catch, but Curtis left the position, despite exposing himself and receiving a hard blow on the way out. Still, Chris knew how to breathe, found the distance and started to work on boxing against the Brazilian. In fact, Vieira already had a nose bleed and felt his opponent's 'footprints'.

Already feeling a bit tired, the Brazilian couldn't get the takedowns and saw Curtis deliver the best blows while standing. Rodolfo still aimed to put the game on the ground and had difficulty managing his stand-up. The two fighters followed the same style of play and the North American left celebrating.
