Undefeated at welterweight, Kevin Holland asks to face Nate Diaz and jokes: 'I want all the smoke'

Since dropping down a weight division, 'Trailblazer' has scored stoppage wins against Alex Cowboy and Tim Means

The saga of the last fight of the contract Nate diaz with the UFC continues. While the fighter, almost daily, begs to have an Ultimate challenge scheduled, potential candidates line up for a lucrative opportunity to face him. The name of the time is Kevin holland.

Undefeated since switching from the middleweight division (up to 83,93 kg) to the welterweight division (up to 77 kg), Kevin holland recently asked for a chance to face a big name in the division. Last Wednesday night (22), the “Trailblazer” took to social media to challenge Nate diaz.

“I can face anyone. He faces anyone. Nate diaz, let's do this for everyone! Dana White, I think this moves the needle. I want all the smoke both inside and outside the cage,” Holland wrote.

After going through a bad time in the UFC, with three fights in a row without a win, Kevin holland turned things around by moving down to welterweight. After debuting in the division by knocking out Alex Cowboy in March, the “Trailblazer” finished Tim means No. ufc austin, held last Saturday (18).

Nate diaz, in turn, has seen better days in Ultimate. The American lost three of his last four fights and hasn't won since August 2019, when he beat the former lightweight champion (up to 70,3 kg), Anthony Pettis. In his last fight, Diaz ended up being defeated by Leon edwards No. UFC 263, in June 2021.
