Daniel Cormier gives his opinion on Jorge Masvidal's future: 'He has to face someone on the rise'

With three consecutive defeats for 'Gamebred', the former UFC champion believes he should face lesser opponents in his next fight

With three consecutive defeats in his last fights, the time has come to Jorge masvidal 'take a few steps back' in your career. At least that's the opinion of the former UFC champion, Daniel Cormier. In a statement given to American ESPN, 'DC' stated that the former challenger should become a kind of 'gatekeeper' of the welterweight division (up to 77,1kg) and that his next duel should be against a young man or athlete in rise in the category.

“(His next opponent) Must be a competitor on the rise. A guy like a Sean brady. Those types of guys that are on the rise. Maybe one Kevin holland which is now starting to pick up some wins in the division. He's going to have to start fighting against guys who are moving up. I think now, because of the three losses in a row and the way he lost, it's time for him to rebuild himself by beating these young guys or you start opening the door for some of them to get into the top five, so his next opponent has to be a young guy. ,” said Cormier.
