Number four at welterweight, Gilbert Durinho announces contract renewal with UFC

One of the biggest names in the welterweight division (up to 77,1kg) today, the Brazilian Gilbert Durinho announced that he will continue to shine in the UFC for a while longer. In a post made on his Twitter, the former challenger in the category announced his contract renewal with Ultimate for 'several fights' and thanked the organization's president Dana White and his manager Ali Abdelaziz for their trust and care in his work.

Hired by Ultimate in 2014, Gilbert Durinho He already has 18 fights with the organization and has become one of the main fighters in the welterweight division. In February 2021, the Brazilian had the opportunity to challenge the then champion Kamaru Usman, UFC 258, in Abu Dhabi (UAE), however, he was defeated by knockout in the third round.
