UFC Fight Night 29, an event held on the 9th, in Barueri, left trauma for Mike Pierce. The North American who was submitted in just 31 seconds by a heel hook applied by Rousimar Toquinho, suffered a serious knee injury due to the blow.
According to Phil Claud, a member of Pierce's coaching team, the fighter had a “severe” MCL sprain in his knee. According to Claud, although the injury was serious, Mike will not undergo surgery.
