No athlete fails the UFC anti-doping test in Barueri

In addition to the twenty regular exams, four athletes with a history of doping underwent an extra test

The twenty fighters who performed at UFC Fight Night 29, in Barueri (SP), passed their drug tests carried out during the event. No illegal substances were detected in the twenty tests and in four additional tests taken after the night of fights.

The four athletes who were selected for an extra doping test after the event were: Thiago Silva, Joey Beltran, Jake Shields and Rousimar “Toquinho” Palhares. What the quartet has in common is the fact that they have previously tested positive for prohibited substances.

UFC Fight Night 29 took place on October 9th, in Barueri, in greater São Paulo. In the main fight of the night, the North American Jake Shields the Brazilian beat Demian Maia by split decision of the judges. In the co-main event of the night, South Korean Dong Hyun Kim knocked out Erick silva.
