Vinícius Spartan faces Cheick Congo for the GP title at Bellator 106

Brazilian decides heavyweight Grand Prix against former UFC fighter in November

Brazilian Vinícius Spartan was confirmed on the Bellator 106 card, the first event in pay-per-view of the organization. On fight night, Vinícius faces ex-UFC Cheick Congo, in a fight valid for the decision of the heavyweight GP.

In the semifinals of Grand Prix, Vinícius Spartan beat another former Ultimate athlete, Lavar Johnson, on October 4th. On the same night, Cheick Congo beat Mark Godbeer and also booked his place in the decider.

Bellator 106 takes place on November 2nd in Long Beach (USA). The main fight pits two former UFC champions face to face: Tito Ortiz and Quinton “Rampage”Jackson.

Additionally, the card features three title fights: Michael chandler vs. Eddie Alvarez for the lightweight title, Pat Curran vs. Daniel Straus for the featherweight title and “King” Mo Lawal vs. Emanuel Newton for the interim light heavyweight title
