“I know that many of you were waiting for my return, there wasn't a single day that someone didn't ask when my next fight would be. But I decided to end my professional sports career. Interruptions of fights, and then health problems, all of this didn't allow me to perform/fight sooner. I have recovered now, but I don't feel like I used to. Thank you to everyone who has supported me for so long. I didn't have time to become champion, but I think that, even without that, I hope I managed to please/entertain you. I stop being an active athlete, but I don't leave the sport. I have something and someone to share my knowledge with. So don’t say goodbye, friends,” wrote Zabit.

At 31 years old, the Russian fighter arrived in Ultimate in 2017 as a great featherweight prospect and won six consecutive victories in the organization, the vast majority of them in dominant fashion. However, due to a complicated sequence of injuries and depression, Zabit stepped away from the Octagon and has not performed since November 2019. The European athlete hangs up his gloves with a record of 18 triumphs and just one setback.
